The woods are filled with the hidden memories of the generations who worked the land before us. And though we think of our forays as walks into the backcountry, many are the moments when we discover the long deserted remnants and evidence of how hands have already hewn the land, the rocks, and the trees. This is not wilderness, it is only unfamiliar.


What we discover most here is ourselves.
